More of the canker mentioned by Geoff Smedley...but on tidal flats. On the topic of floods and the Sandy Bay UTAS Campus damage. - Lots of views and comments on FaceBook, etc including this one outside the Law Library . The Public gets it, the ratepayers get, but aldermen and others who should, don't get it. https://www.facebook.com/510433652440037/photos/pcb.1052257248257672/1052257121591018/?type=3&theater

JS Such a shame. This could happen at Inveresk in Launceston when UTAS move their campus from Newnham up on the hill to the tidal flat with an aging flood levee between it and the river.

Helen D Such an unsuitable site. Newnham was fine, easy to find, plenty of parking and open fields - dunno why they have to move further into town.

Thanks Geoff. What ridiculous waste of money. And the pavers or tiles came from Western Australia, even though a Northern Tasmanian company put in a tender and according to a report, that company's tender met all the criteria, but didn't get the job. As a result they have to sack 4 or 5 people - thanks to the aldermen of this council or who else?
